Bells for Peace Sunday

WHEREAS,  Bells for Peace, Inc. was founded as a non-profit, charitable organization in order to highlight the importance of education as the key to a more peaceful Commonwealth, region, nation and world

WHEREAS,  bells call upon us to honor our past while setting the tone for our future; and

WHEREAS,  bells serve as a signal of joy and celebration, peace and remembrance; and

WHEREAS,  bells are legacies that are passed down from one generation to another; and

WHEREAS,  bells greatly enhance communities by giving a voice that establishes pride and honor while creating a special focal point;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Timothy M. Kaine, do hereby recognize Sunday April 20, 2008, as BELLS FOR PEACE SUNDAY in the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, and I call this observance to the attention of all our citizens.
