Virginia Respiratory Care Week
WHEREAS, the health and safety of all Virginians are important to the well being of our Commonwealth’s citizens, families, and communities; and
WHEREAS, respiratory care practitioners offer medical treatment to patients diagnosed with respiratory illnesses, including bronchitis, pneumonia, and asthma; and
WHEREAS, respiratory care practitioners help their patients live healthier lives and experience a higher quality of life than patients who do not utilize these services; and
WHEREAS, respiratory care practitioners are dedicated health care professionals committed to decreasing the suffering and recovery times of patients experiencing respiratory problems, and they are important members of the medical community; andWHEREAS, Respiratory Care Week is designed to recognize the efforts of respiratory care practitioners and to highlight the importance of receiving proper medical attention for respiratory illnesses;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Timothy M. Kaine, do hereby recognize October 25-31, 2009 as RESPIRATORY CARE WEEK in the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, and I call this observance to the attention of all our citizens.
