November 15, 2011 – Care Advantage, Nurse Advantage and All About Care

Richmond-based with offices throughout the Commonwealth, Care Advantage, Nurse Advantage, and All About Care have created numerous career opportunities. Care Advantage is a home health care company providing services whenever, wherever, and whatever the need may be-- from childcare for working parents, to senior care in any setting, live-ins, surgery patients, and those with serious medical problems. Nurse Advantage provides high quality medical professionals for hospitals, nursing homes, schools, jails, etc. All About Care offers skilled nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social work, and home health aide services. The offices stretch across the Commonwealth from Roanoke to Chesapeake.

Since 2008, Care Advantage, Nurse Advantage, and All About Care have created 367 NEW jobs. Many of these jobs were added to rural areas hardest hit by the downturn; such as Franklin, Virginia where a paper mill was shut down in 2008. Since 2008, Care Advantage has increased the number of employees by 18%. In 2011, the three companies employed over 3,000 workers across the state, and our estimated payroll will be well over $18 million dollars, an increase of over 13% from 2010.

The three sister companies have created job opportunities over the past few months including:

Care Advantage has opened four new full service offices since 2008:

Goochland, VA – Opened May 2011 – currently employs 22 Nurses
Chesapeake, VA – Opened June 2010 – currently employs 110 Nurses
Roanoke, VA – Opened November 2009 - currently employs 82 Nurses
Franklin, VA – Opened February 2009 – currently employs 80 FTE Nurses in an area that was devastated by the International Paper Company mill closing that caused 1,100 workers to be laid off.

As these offices mature, they will create approximately 200 local jobs.

Care Advantage has opened satellite recruiting offices in Mechanicsville, Dinwiddie, Greene, and South Hill to recruit more nurses to aid the clients of their nearby offices.

The Dinwiddie recruiting office – Opened October 2011 – currently employs 8 part time employees
The Greene recruiting office – Opened September 2011 – currently employs 9 part time employees.
The South Hill recruiting office – Opened September 2011 – currently employs 4 part time employees.
The Mechanicsville recruiting office – Opened late 2010 – currently employs 70 part time employees

Care Advantage offers monthly PCA classes throughout Virginia. Upon graduation, the associates immediately begin working for Care Advantage.
