Governor-Elect Tim Kaine Names Members of Senior Staff

Richmond – Governor-elect Timothy M. Kaine today announced the appointments of senior members of the Governor’s Office staff.

Larry Roberts will serve as Counselor to the Governor. Roberts currently serves as Co-Chair of the Transition Committee and was Chairman of Governor-elect Kaine’s successful gubernatorial campaign.

Mark Rubin will serve as Senior Advisor to the Governor. Rubin previously was a mediator with The McCammon Group, Ltd.

Brian Shepard will serve as Policy Director. Shepard previously served as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.

William Murray will serve as Deputy Policy Director and Legislative Director. Murray previously served as Legislative Director for Governor Mark R. Warner.

Steven Gould will serve as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor for Policy. Gould previously served as Special Assistant for Policy for Governor Warner.

Felix Sarfo-Katanka, Jr., will serve as Special Assistant to the Governor for Policy. Sarfo-Katanka previously served as Legislative Assistant to Delegate Franklin P. Hall, the House Minority Leader.

Gena Boyle will serve as Special Assistant to the Governor for Policy. Boyle was the Office Manager for the Transition Office and was Assistant to the Campaign Manager during Governor-elect Kaine’s gubernatorial campaign.

Delacey Skinner will serve as Director of Communications. Skinner currently serves as Communications Director for the Transition Office, and was Press Secretary during Governor-elect Kaine’s gubernatorial campaign.

Kevin Hall will serve as Press Secretary. Hall previously served as Press Secretary and Deputy Press Secretary for Governor Warner.

Jeff Kraus will serve as Senior Advisor and Speechwriter. Kraus currently serves as Inaugural Press Director and served as Deputy Communications Director during Governor-elect Kaine’s gubernatorial campaign.

Andrea Gaines will serve as Director of Virginia Corps. Virginia Corps serves as a central clearinghouse for volunteer opportunities across Virginia, linking citizens with a wide variety of volunteer efforts. Gaines currently serves as Special Assistant for Constituent Services for the Transition Office and was Deputy Press Secretary during Governor-elect Kaine’s successful gubernatorial campaign.

Cathy Ghidotti will serve as Director of Scheduling. Ghidotti previously served as Executive Assistant to Governor Warner.

Marc Cheatham will serve as Director of Constituent Services. Cheatham served as Director of Constituent Services in the Transition Office and was a research analyst on Governor-elect Kaine’s gubernatorial campaign.
