Tour of Severe Weather Damage
Tuesday, April 29, 2008 - Governor Timothy M. Kaine will tour severe weather-related damage in the city of Suffolk.
Schedule of Events:
3:00 p.m. Governor Kaine will arrive at Kings Fork High School. (Press Pool Only)
3:15 p.m. Governor Kaine, legislators and local officials will visit Kings Fork Middle School to meet with affected residents. (Press Pool Only)
3:30 p.m. Governor Kaine, legislators and local officials will tour storm damaged neighborhoods. (Press Pool Only)
4:30 p.m. Governor Kaine will be available to all press for questions at the press briefing location near Sentara Obici Hospital. (Open Press)
4:45 p.m. Governor Kaine, legislators and local officials will continue touring damaged neighborhoods in the area. (Press Pool Only)
Open Briefing: Governor Kaine will hold an open briefing at 4:30 p.m. near the Sentara Obici Hospital, the site of the previous media briefings. Because of road closures, it is advised to exit Route 58 onto Route 10, then exit towards the hospital and follow the directions of State Troopers.
