Productivity Investment Fund
Do you have a creative solution to a problem facing state government? Do you
want to propose a partnership or service to improve citizen services in the
Commonwealth? The mission of the Enterprise Solutions Group is to make government
more efficient and effective by lowering transaction times for citizen services,
lowering agency operating costs, and advancing the core mission of state agencies.
The group welcomes input from citizens, businesses and state employees.
Health Reform Commission
Created by Governor Kaine in July 2006, the Health Reform Commission is charged
with improving access to competent, affordable healthcare for all Virginians.
More specifically, the commission works to identify and implement national
best practices at the state level with an emphasis on access, quality, and
safety of care; the commission will also address long-term care and affordability.
eHealth IT Council
An initiative to promote digital standards and practices for the health care
industry, including medical records.
Healthy Virginians
Governor Kaine is reinvigorating a program to encourage Virginians of every
age and stripe to adopt healthy lifestyles and combat the state's alarming
obesity rates, etc.
Prevention
Comes First
Governor Kaine has launched a major cross-agency initiative to combat gangs and
provide positive alternatives to at-risk youth.
Start Strong / Smart Beginnings
Helping Virginia kids by expanding opportunities for access to pre-K, healthcare
and other early childhood markers for success in life.
Virginia Corps
Virginia Corps was founded on the idea that we can build a stronger, united
Virginia through volunteer service. Virginia Corps helps make this possible
by putting citizens in touch with a wide range of volunteer efforts, and by
supporting the volunteer community statewide.
