25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA CAMPAIGN

By virtue of the authority vested by the Constitution of Virginia in the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, there is hereby officially recognized:

WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC) for workplace giving was introduced to the state workforce in 1997; and,

WHEREAS, Virginia state employees have given more than $50 million to assist charities in their communities and provided countless hours of volunteer service to assist those in need; and,

WHEREAS, Commonwealth of Virginia campaign’s participating charities provide essential services and assistance to neighbors in need and range from those feeding the homeless, providing veterans services, educational and culturally supportive organizations to those that focus on children, health issues, and human and animal rights; and,

WHEREAS, dedication to public service and supporting local Virginia communities are hallmarks of the role Virginia state employees play in serving the people of Virginia both at work and at home; and,

WHEREAS, it is important to recognize the outstanding contributions made each and every year by Virginia state employees by contributing to supporting charities and volunteering in their communities throughout the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Glenn Youngkin, do hereby recognize and celebrate and supporting 25 YEARS OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA CAMPAIGN in the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, and I call this observance to the attention of our citizens.
