WHEREAS, seeking stronger financial footing for all Americans and Virginians is crucial; and
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth acknowledges the positive role that life insurance plays to create flexible, affordable, and accessible products that provide stability for families; and
WHEREAS, life insurance exists to provide certainty and to ensure that no one has to face tough times alone, aiding as a foundational tool for financial resilience and legacy for the next generation; and
WHEREAS, 60 million families in the United States do not have adequate coverage, and 73 million Americans, 59% of uninsured consumers, are in need of life insurance; and
WHEREAS, Life Insurance Awareness Month offers an opportunity to examine the role life insurance plays in helping more people protect their family’s financial future;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ralph S. Northam, do hereby recognize September 2021, as LIFE INSURANCE AWARENESS MONTH in our COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, and I call this observance to the attention of all our citizens.
