Governor’s Flag Order in Honor and Remembrance of U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein

Pursuant to President Biden’s Presidential Proclamation to lower the United States flag, I do hereby order that the flags of the United States of America and the Commonwealth of Virginia be flown at half-staff on all state and local buildings and grounds in the Commonwealth of Virginia in honor and remembrance of U.S. Senator Feinstein who represented California since 1992. From 1978-1988 she served as Mayor of San Francisco. 

I hereby order that the flags shall be lowered immediately on Friday, September 29, 2023, and remain at half-staff until sunset on Thursday, October 5, 2023.
