Governor’s Flag Order for the State Capitol in Richmond

This is to order that the flag of the Commonwealth of Virginia is to be flown at half-staff over the State Capitol in respect and memory of former Virginia Delegate and Secretary of Natural Resources William Tayloe Murphy, Jr.

I hereby order that the flags shall be lowered at sunrise on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, and remain at half-staff until sunset.

Ordered on this, 21st day of September, 2021.

 

Governor’s Flag Order for the County of Essex, the County of King George, the County of Lancaster, the County of Northumberland, the County of Richmond, and the County of Westmoreland

Be it further encouraged that the flag of the Commonwealth of Virginia may be flown at half-staff on all local and state buildings and grounds in the County of Essex, the County of King George, the County of Lancaster, the County of Northumberland, the County of Richmond, and the County of Westmoreland and in any other locality as deemed appropriate, in respect and memory of former Virginia Delegate and Secretary of Natural Resources William Tayloe Murphy, Jr.

I hereby authorize that the flag shall be lowered at sunrise on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, and remain at half-staff until sunset.
