Healthcare Security and Safety Officer Week

By virtue of the authority vested by the Constitution of Virginia in the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, there is hereby officially recognized:

WHEREAS, the safety of all Virginians is important to the wellbeing of our Commonwealth's citizens, families and communities; and,

WHEREAS, healthcare security and safety officers are a dedicated and caring group of individuals who serve citizens and healthcare facilities every day; and,

WHEREAS, healthcare security and safety officers work to provide a safe and secure healthcare environment, and their efforts support a community of care that is conducive to quality treatment for patients and their families; and,

WHEREAS, healthcare security and safety officers enhance emergency response capabilities that make their communities strong and more prepared during times of disaster; and,

WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Virginia recognizes the tireless dedication of healthcare security and safety officers and the protection that they provide for our healthcare community;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Glenn Youngkin, do hereby recognize October 9-15, 2022 as HEALTHCARE SECURITY AND SAFETY OFFICER WEEK in the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, and I call this observance to the attention of our citizens.
