Proclamation List- Property and Evidence Professionals Week

By virtue of the authority vested by the Constitution of Virginia in the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, there is hereby officially recognized:

Property and Evidence Professionals Week

WHEREAS, Property and Evidence Professionals serve as the backbone of law enforcement and public safety agencies, ensuring the secure and accountable management of evidence and seized property; and

WHEREAS, these dedicated professionals play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the justice system by safeguarding critical evidence, preserving its chain of custody, and ensuring its availability for criminal investigations, court proceedings, and rightful return to its owners; and

WHEREAS, Property and Evidence Professionals exhibit the highest standards of ethics, attention to detail, and adherence to legal protocols, which are essential in upholding public trust and ensuring justice is served; and

WHEREAS, their work often goes unrecognized but remains essential to the mission of law enforcement and other public safety agencies, requiring both technical skill and unwavering dedication; and

WHEREAS, Property and Evidence Professionals contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of public safety, enabling law enforcement to focus on the protection of our communities while they manage the critical behind-the-scenes operations; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting that we recognize the outstanding contributions of these individuals who demonstrate professionalism, commitment, and service to their agencies and the public;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Glenn Youngkin, do hereby recognize April 1-6, 2025, as PROPERTY AND EVIDENCE PROFESSIONALS WEEK in the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, and I call this observance to the attention of all of our citizens.
