The funding, awarded by the Virginia Aviation Board, will support critical infrastructure and modernization projects across the Commonwealth, including a new air traffic control tower at Washington Manassas Airport and a new terminal at Blue Ridge Regional Airport in Martinsville.

RICHMOND, VA — Governor Abigail Spanberger today celebrated that Twain Lumber Company will invest $7.4 million to purchase and reopen the former Teal Jones sawmill operation in Henry County. Once operational, the facility will create 74 new jobs in the region, and the company will purchase more than $51.2 million of Virginia-grown forest products over the next three years.

RICHMOND, VA — Governor Abigail Spanberger today announced the rollout of new, more secure EBT cards equipped with “chip-and-tap” technology to better prevent Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) fraud and protect families from having their food assistance “skimmed.” Virginia is among the first five states to implement this new technology.
