WHEREAS, paralegals provide skilled and essential professional services to licensed attorneys throughout Virginia; and

 

WHEREAS, paralegals play an essential role in legal research, case preparation, administration, and the effective delivery of legal services; and

 

WHEREAS, paralegals receive education, training, and experience that enable them to support attorneys in delivering quality legal services to their clients; and

 

WHEREAS, professional organizations promote professional standards, education, ethical conduct, and continuing development for paralegals across the Commonwealth; and

 

WHEREAS, Paralegals Week provides an opportunity to honor the dedication of paralegals and recognize their vital role in supporting the legal system across the Commonwealth and the nation;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Abigail D. Spanberger, Governor, do hereby recognize October 4–9, 2026, as PARALEGALS WEEK in the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, and I call this observance to the attention of all our citizens.
